Every mum in the world wants to know that her kids appreciate and respect her. If mother's day hadn’t been invented, a lot of people would’ve postponed saying I love you to their mums and wouldn’t get her a gift unless there was an occasion where they had to. Since lately a lot of people have been broke (I blame the huge shopping centers that are every where now), gestures can be gifts too. Ran out of ideas? No problem, here are 10 things to do to instantly put a smile on her face.
1. Breakfast in bed (check our recipe in the cooking section of the MSN tabs)
2. A massage at the spa or home made if you're really broke
3. A hot bubble bath with candles, cocktails, light music and no interruptions
4. A "yes" card where on this special day, the word NO is not even an option to anything she asks you to do
5. A booked hotel room for two (any 2 people of her choice) to relax and get away from the daily routine
6. A fancy dinner at the town's most elegant restaurant
7. A red bouquet of roses with a box of Godivas and a home-made card
8. A trip to the beauty salon for a complete makeover with hair, nails, the whole deal
9. An oversized picture of you and your siblings when you were babies in a nice frame
10. A kiss on the cheek with a heart-felt emotion that you haven’t expressed in a while
Don’t feel shy to say something you haven’t said to her in a while. She's your mum, she saw you naked, and it doesn’t get worse than that!
Happy mothers day!
